My story as an Artist and Manager

As an artist, I’m known for my creative, resourceful, and multidisciplinary approach to bringing creative visions to life. I use my diverse skills, including photography, retouching, 3D illustration, and AI image generation, to achieve optimal results efficiently.

 

As a manager, I streamline processes by developing work methodologies, procedures, graphic standards, and studio procedure guides. I also supervise retouching artists and photographers.

 

My career before joining Havas took a circuitous route, enabling me to acquire a wide range of skills and experiences. Before joining Havas, I worked as an Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Manager of a Pre-press department, and Studio Manager.

 

Throughout my 22-year tenure at Havas, I’ve consistently assumed multiple roles. Initially hired as a triple-threat Pre-press Operator, Retoucher, and Graphic Designer, I later worked as a Retoucher and Retouching Manager at a satellite office. 

 

Promoted to Senior Retoucher, I integrated photography into our operations and transformed the “Retouching Department” into the “Imaging Department” with the addition of 3D capabilities. This led to my promotion to Imaging Department Manager. Later, as Director of Photography & Imaging Services, I introduced AI image generation, Cinemagraphs, and utilized my lighting expertise to help our Video department with their  video productions. I led a team of six staff Retouchers and six freelance artists.

 

 

Now

I’m establishing a new venture, the Riverdale Creative Group, with other artists. Our photography and video offerings are developing, but our retouching and graphic design services are operational and open for business. We’ll keep you informed.
